People with a background in
music tend to have a higher education
and earn more according to a new survey
The poll by Harris Interactive showed 88 percent of people with a post-graduate
education were involved in music while in school, and 83 percent of people earning
$150,000 or more had a music education. In addition to the practical skills gained
from studying music, people questioned in the online polls said it also gave them
a sense of personal fulfillment.

The voluntary RPT certification is the only objective standard of competency in Piano Technology in the USA.
Registered Piano Technicians are
professionals who have committed
themselves to the continual pursuit
of excellence, both in technical
service and ethical
conduct.
Through affiliation with other
technicians, manufacturers, suppliers
and teaching associations, RPT's
continue to enhance their knowledge
and skills.
An RPT has passed a series of three
rigorous examinations that
assess the knowledge and skills required to
tune, maintain and
repair pianos.
Has your technician made the grade?
