Our 1904 upright baby grand Steinway had not been tuned since we moved to Charlotte in 1993. Joe took the time to pull out the keys and show us the signatures of the factory workers who apparently crafted them. He loves pianos and it shows in his work. He had his work cut out for him with this job! Our long-neglected piano sounds good again.

Mr. Gotta tuned an upright Steinway piano that had not been tuned in about 4 years, but has recently been getting a lot of “playing” by my six year old.
Mr. Gotta gave me a rough estimate over the phone, then showed up precisely on time and tuned the piano quickly and within the estimate He did not tell me the piano needed all kinds of other work to it, which others have tried to tell me in the past. We really don’t play it much, so I just wanted a simple tuning and that is exactly what I got.

Piano was tuned after not being tuned for over 4 years and two moves. Technician did and overall inspection and provided recommendations in addition to the tuning.
My experience was very favorable from the first contact. The technician returned my call promptly and set up an appointment in a timely fashion. He arrived as scheduled and exhibited knowledge and expertise. The price was in line with my past experience and included casters that I had purchased separately. He honored a $10 coupon. I will use him again.

Joe did a wonderful job tuning my 75 year old piano. He was professional, efficient and even worked me in before Christmas. I highly recommend him and will call on him for my future piano tuning needs! I had a much more pleasurable experience with his piano tuning than I have had in the past with other tuners. I have a neighbor with a dog that barks uncontrollably – all the time – and that usually throws the piano tuners off and makes for a long, drawn-out, painful ordeal, but not with Joe! He did not even flinch, it did not slow him down or throw him off at all. He did a quick professional excellent job! THANK YOU JOE. What a relief!

I have had Joe Gotta as my personal piano tuner for over 20 years now. He, as a man with a musical ear that is incomparable and his sense of pitch for my instrument is matchless in the city. Efficiency he has as well, never a lost chord note or problem overlooked and always quickly attended to. So many complex piano adjustments MUST be left to a true craftsman and Joe is that guy. He does not just tune the piano, he lives for the piano.
